In which we talk about interviews, collaborations, finding your flow, squirrels (of course!), the importance of helpers, writing pods, all things Substack, and more.
What a divine interview! Thank you Sarah and thank you Jane for all the work you do in helping to bring gentle, brilliant, caring and like minded people together. It’s truly wonderful!
Loved this. And most of all, I love how you do what you do for love and passion. And to help others. Feeling in flow with what you do. Just beautiful. I feel this too. I want to feel in love with what I do and what I share. And what you said about being shy. Not social anxiety, but when the focus is on you. Same for me. It has held me back at times and it is definitely something that I work on. This desire to help others and connect with others pushes me forward. Thank you for sharing yourself in this way.
Oh, I am so honoured Jane! I certainly think of you as an example (and an inspiration!) for the best thing on Substack. I’ve been away for the past two weeks (doing à poetry retreat with Kim Addonizio in Umbria!) so slowly catching up on all the newsletters I adore and missed. 🤗
Loved hearing your voice Jane! Your passion clearly comes through.
I'll always remember what you said after you asked me to do the Beyond Questionnaire, when I asked "Why me? I'm a small publication" and you replied "I interview people who are interesting!" Thank you for helping writers regardless of their platform!
Great interview! It’s wonderful to see the woman behind “Beyond “💕 Jane, your warmth really does come through.
Thank you, Sharon! ❤️

Oh, thank you for your kind words, Danni! They mean so much! And, yes, shyness can be so hard! Let's keep working on it!!
Yes, and maybe just keep a little bc I have found that a bit of shy keeps us humble. A quality that I love.
Sorry I missed this live. What a delight to see the both of you!!
Thank you, Imola! I was thinking about you when we were talking about community on Substack! 🌸
